Born and raised in Kanata, west of Ottawa, I'm a mother of one, step-monster to another, and graduate of the public relations program at Algonquin College, currently working in the not-for-profit sector.
My personal mission is to make the world a better place. Taking on the challenge of raising awareness and generating support for local charities is a good start. One of my biggest (and proudest) accomplishments is the Bare Bottoms Diaper Drive, an annual event started in support of the Ottawa Food Bank and babies in need. I've now turned this annual event into a non-profit organization.
I enjoy helping others as an active force in the local community, but also worldwide. I'm deeply involved with Messef Orphanage in Haiti and actively seek ongoing support through the sale of postcards, a project I had a hand in designing. I also help out with AngeLissa , a cause dedicated to improving the lives of those less fortunate by using recyclable materials to create hand-made products as a means of fundraising for causes including Messef Orphanage and There Is Hope Malawi
If you want to get involved in anything I am up to, drop me a line. Together we can make a difference.
